Business Ethics Training Course Addresses Sweeping Changes in PhRMA Code

Dedham, Mass.June 26, 2002With the pharmaceutical industry's sweeping new Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals set to take effect on July 1, Integrity Interactive Corporation today announced a new Web-based business ethics training course, that teaches sales representatives and other employees who market pharmaceutical and biotechnology products how to comply with the new code.
The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), an association to which every major pharmaceutical company in the U.S. belongs, adopted this code in pursuit of the goal that any relationship with physicians or other healthcare professionals should benefit patients and the practice of medicine. The code's new standards have a wide range of impacts on the way that sales representatives may interact with the medical professionals to whom they are marketing their products.
To teach employees about the new PhRMA code, Integrity Interactive Corporation, an industry leader in delivering Web-based compliance training solutions, has released "Interacting with Healthcare Professionals," the latest addition to its highly regarded lineup of business ethics and corporate compliance courses.
Integrity's new course was developed in cooperation with well-known pharmaceutical attorney Bruce Kuhlik, and in-house experts from a major pharmaceutical company.
