Press Releases

Dedham, Mass—April 23, 2003 —Integrity Interactive, a leading developer of Web-based ethics and compliance training services, has named three legal professionals with experience in international trade, intellectual property and pharmaceutical regulatory law to its Ethics and Compliance Advisory Panel, the company announced today.

Stanley Marcuss, Joan T. Pinaire and Peter Safir were named to the Advisory Panel in the first quarter 2003. They join 19 other compliance professionals who advise the company on course direction and emerging trends in the industry. The advisory board's experience spans every major facet of ethics and compliance, including labor, government contract, antitrust and securities law.

Marcuss is a partner in the Washington law firm Bryan Cave LLP, where he heads the firm's international trade practice. He brings to Integrity Interactive's panel more than 30 years of experience in compliance-related issues. Marcuss served as counsel to the U.S. Senate's International Finance Subcommittee from 1972 to 1976, and as senior deputy assistant secretary of commerce from 1976 to 1980. In that job, he was responsible for all of the Commerce Department's international trade regulation programs.

Pinaire is special counsel for the Newark, N.J., law firm of McCarter & English, where she specializes in intellectual property/information technology issues such as trademark and copyright counseling; clearance and registration; patent law; licensing and transfer agreements; and Internet-related matters. She is a former corporate counsel for trademarks and copyrights for Avaya and Lucent Technologies.

Safir is a partner in the Washington law firm of Convington & Burling and a widely known expert on food and drug industry regulatory issues. He has counseled the pharmaceutical industry on marketing, quality and manufacturing practices and lifecycle management. Safir has also conducted drug and medical industry abuse investigations and defended individuals and companies targeted by the Food and Drug Administration.

"We're constantly on the lookout for deeper expertise in significant compliance areas, which we clearly got when Stanley, Joan and Peter joined our panel," said Integrity Interactive President Carl Nelson. "Between their contributions and the array of knowledge already on the advisory panel, we will be able to continue producing a steady flow of courseware covering any ethics and compliance subject in any industry."
