Integrity Interatcive's Business Ethics Solutions
Supports Biogen's Ethics Initiative
Press Releases

Dedham, Mass—November 18, 2002 —Integrity Interactive announced today that Biogen, Inc., a Cambridge, MA-based biotechnology company is rolling out Integrity Interactive's ethics and compliance training courses as part of its corporate compliance program. The comprehensive online program will help Biogen raise the awareness of its more than 2,000 employees about important ethical and legal issues in the workplace.

Biogen, which manufactures and sells AVONEXÒ (Interferon beta-la) for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, has a compliance program geared toward educating employees on critical legal and ethical issues associated with its business. Since launching its first product in 1996, Biogen has grown from approximately 350 employees to a global company with thousands of employees. With Integrity Interactive's Web-based training courses, Biogen can more easily reach its employees with training on key topics under its Code of Business Conduct, such as insider trading, mutual respect and pharmaceutical laws and regulations. Integrity Interactive's courses use stories to teach employees what they need to know to stay on the right side of the law.

"With our broad employee base we needed a training program that was user-friendly and that would help everyone understand the law and know what's expected of them. Integrity Interactive's courses are an important part of our compliance program," said Anne Marie Cook, Biogen's vice president and chief corporate counsel.

"Biogen is another example of a global company that realizes an effective compliance program must be ongoing and far reaching," said Carl Nelson, president of Integrity Interactive. "Integrity Interactive's compliance and ethics experts work with companies like Biogen to create a program that provides a communications system that efficiently disseminates information to a broad audience."
